1 WEEK OLD
This is an entry I originally wrote a couple weeks ago. We kept it quiet because we didn't want to give away any of our name-ideas prematurely. Now it may finally be revealed!:

For the longest time, Raegan and I weren't sure about a boy's name for Brykbaby. We were trying to decide between a few, one of which was Jasper.

And then suddenly, in the last few days, the name started popping up everywhere:

1. Our friends Emily & Chris sent us a video what had a character named Jasper in it.
2. We went to see the movie Children of Men, and Michael Caine's character (an aging but stalwart hippie at the end of the world) is named Jasper.
3. At her Blessingway, my cousin Bobbie presented Raegan with a stone what was called Red Jasper.
4. The last time we meet with our Doula, she hands us some reading materials, in the corner of which is the DONA logo (Doulas of North America). Beneath the logo is their address: Jasper, IN.
5. My good buddy Neal (I was his best man) the other day tells me he'd found a great baby-name book (he's expecting in June) and that he was psyched about this one name. You guessed it. Jasper.

Funny, right? So much for coincidences!
